Quinta do Vallado Reserva Field Blend
This wine is made from old vines more than 100 years old: 45 grape varieties with a predominance of Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca. Part of the grapes underwent the traditional process of foot-treading in granite ‘lagares’. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was racked into French oak barriques where it stayed for 18 months. 60% are new barrels and 40% used barrels. This wine has very concentrated aromas with balsamic oak notes, fig, black plum and tobacco. On the palate this full-bodied wine is firm, mature, silky tannins with mineral notes on a very elegant and persistent finish.
